Galactic Alignment of 2012

You didn't get the point. This is a science thread and being such, discussions should be FACT based (i.e. "we know", not "we don't know") rather than based on "things we don't know about" or "things we don't know will happen or not". Science is about data gathering, analysis of said data, and arriving at conclusions/answers based on the said analysis. As of the moment, the data we have tells us something--NOT nothing! So unless you have DATA to inject in the discussion, you're simply wasting words in this discussion. This is the reason why you are highly encouraged to STOP that point of conjecture, and stick to FACTS.

I am entitled to my opinion.. those replies that I've posted were replies to those who quoted on my posts.. I am defending and standing to my point, "We don't know" phrase of what will happen IF there will be galactic alignment in 2012.. And I can support that.. Geez "Science" - It is the state of knowing not "We KNOW" or having those FACTS FACTS and FACTS which we can't support yet.. The FACT is, those were just theories.. That's why I said, AGAIN, "Let's wait and see" IF what will happen b'coz no one knows yet.. "YET".

*facepalm* Your opinion is not the issue here--we are talking about subforum RULES.

It's like we announced a costume party, and in this party, everyone should be wearing pirate outfits/costumes, and yet you came in a spacesuit! You then "defend" the reasons why you wore a spacesuit (i.e. your dog ate your pirate costume, etc.) pero that DOES NOT mean you justify yourself and will be allowed to continue wearing your spacesuit in the party--you're still in the blacklist for NOT following the agreement, and your presence in the party is an eyesore because it ruins the theme of the event.

So, in light of this, if you keep on insisting your point, I'll close every thread you create that keeps on insisting that you're doing it because you're "entitled to your opinion".

Bros, this alignment has happened before. They also said life as we know it will end.

Nothing will happen. Just like the Millennium bug. Overblown.

What is interesting though is when the SUN will have it's biggest solar storm. Now that has been proven to have very catastrophic effects. Watch NatGeo's take on this.
