i find most european bands to be more creative and more interesting than american bands. it's no wonder i like coldplay, keane, lacuna coil, nightwish and within temptation. i love some american bands like the killers and evanescence.![]()
... and, Frank Sinatra is American.. so is Paul Anka, Johnny Mathis, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday... damn, not to mention all those MOTOWN ACTS... and Nsync![]()

nahan ko bullet for my valentine. they're from south wales
well im not realy focusing on the geographical location... in my opinion its the certain culture and influnces they have... like for example... manila bands and cebu bands... its not that i want to compare in a negative way, or brand each.. pero we can see na naa gyud certain sub-culture ang both.. our language alone.. and the way we speak english... little things that we are unconcious of but matter.. a lot... Cebu bands tend to make a lot of english written lyrics with their music.. karon maayo na kay ang taga manila maminaw na ug bisaya na compo.. its not about geography at all....
Your topic is about GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION bai ... you even mentioned na tungod nga duol ra ang Africa sa Europe, mas rhythmic ilang tukar (which I don't think is true as well).Â*
Also bear in mind.. the WEST COAST is loaded with Latinos (duol ra kaayo ang border), although tinuod nga daghan ug hiphop ngadto, there's also a lot of Latin or Latin-influenced music that came out from the west coast.
-----
If you base things on culture... dili ka makasulti nga kuwang ug Culture diri sa States because the places that produces the bulk of the music industry, didto hinuon nagkalata ang culture.Â* Take for example, NEW YORK (I live in Manhattan).. you walk into a place, after 10 minutes.. chances are you've already heard 10 different languages spoken.Â* Same thing sa CALI .. sagol sagol ang mga taw... sa Chicago, Miami, Detroit, etc.. all the artist from the midwest, central, and mountain regions flock to these big cities to make it big.
Maybe the only place that's not really all that diverse but still produces a lot of acts is NASHVILLE (Tennesee) ... but who cares about Country Music anyways.Â* Â*
-----
Culture is a big deal when it comes to music... pero that's a given.Â* Pero like I said, you were talking about Geographical location, not culture..... ug Culture ang istoryahan... Europe isn't all that diverse pero they have a vast musical history... the U.S. has only been around since the 1700's .. and it was settled by whoTHe EUROPEANS (tuyok lang gihapon) ..... BUT, around the late 1800's and early1900's when European music was stuck in the old fashioned classical/baroque form, the U.S. were already doing Ragtime, Bebop, Dixie, etc...

Nuff saidWe all like melodic music and we're all sorta tired of hearing hip hop and endless loops already... looks like the hip hop era will end soon and rock and roll (sort of) will be resurrecting heheh...
kinsay ganahan Tokio Hotel?![]()
i agree.. european bands play soulfully than american bands... with due respect sa mga americans, they make good music but if u compare them to european bands, u can tell the difference...
mas naa jud dating ang mga europeans, especially mga british![]()
