Violent inclinations in Christianity are apparent right from the beginning. Jesus is traditionally portrayed as a kind and loving teacher, such that even non-Christians often have an idealized image of him. However, not all of what he reportedly said or did fits within such a characterization - and some of what he did certainly doesn't reflect the better teachings he is supposed to have promoted. For example, he was quite explicit in his condemnation of those who would not follow his teachings, saying to his disciples: "And if any one will not receive you in your words, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave that house or town. If Jesus and God have so little regard for nonbelievers, why should any of their followers? If Jesus can relegate nonbelievers to an eternity of torment, why should they expect higher standards from his followers here? In fact, nonbelievers did not fare any better after Christianity gained official support from the Roman Empire. Despite having been on the receiving end of persecution for many years, Christians refused to take any moral high ground and quickly proceeded to treat pagans with as much contempt and violence as they previously experienced.

True Christians follow the teachings of Christ, not church dogmas. A Christian is still a human being, we are only people nothing more and nothing less. Do not ask something from a person that you are unwilling to do your self. You have to live your live by Christ's teachings to be a Christian. Few can do it. Every man falls short of the Grace of God everyday. We are all flawed beings.

That is the key. You tell a person about sin and salvation because you hate the sin. You are suppose to love the sinner more than yourself. You can judge if an action is a sin by testing it with scripture. The sinner you do not have the right to pass judgments.

Amazing gyud nga example si Jesus cause all through His ministry he has emphasized caring for the lost, and pharisees in the bible hated Him for doing so. Indeed, He came for sinners like me.=)!

maybe some christian forgot the golden rule: We cant judge others because only GOD have that right...

We are bound by our faith to follows some rules like no to homosexuality, no to promiscuity and other no-no...

but just because we think we are right does not mean we have the right to judge others that they will burn to hell for their sins...



im a christian.. im pro-choice, i have gay friends and muslim friends...

and my philosophy in life is: only GOD have the right to judge people.. and my favorite story in the bible is the story of the Good SAmaritan...

there are too many Christians in this world but i think only a handful of them are true christians...

No, because every man sins every day. It is that struggle is why Christ was sacrificed, so a pathway could be opened for man to be forgiven for their sins. There will be many so called Christians who will not get into Heaven. In all the religions only one, Christ, truly offers salvation. Can man go to Heaven without religion. I like to think so, but he would have to be a far better man than any I have ever met.

Fools also will not look at the fundamental differences for them, or just blindly accept the words of others. That is why evil men can trick fools in committing acts of evil. That is the root of the problem. It is the reason for this thread.

Excuse me? I have no Jihad against you chief. Mohamed was a warrior who was fighting a war the Muslims had started. I love the "we were the victims" spin. They conquered a bloody path all the way to parts of Spain. That is a long way from Saudi Arabia. You have to deny a lot of history to make that claim. The Holy Wars as they were called was politics pure and simple. They used religion on both sides to inspire young men to fight and die. Muslims have no claim to being victims. Their history is the bloodiest of all the world's religions.

You can not, because the History of Islam and the words of the Qur'an just make you appear to be naive or deceptive. Yes and some day they hope to convert everyone of every religion, or kill them. They will not stop until they are the only religion, and every man, woman, and child are converts.

Yes by all means let it only be about Christianity, after all no other religion has done evil acts.

2. To commit an offense or violation.
3. Something regarded as being shameful, deplorable, or utterly wrong.
4. Deliberate disobedience to the known will of God.
5. A condition of estrangement from God resulting from such disobedience.

There are over 600 sins listed in the Bible, much is the same in most religions.
