I like the word "evolve" and it has nothing to do only with physical evolution but with mental evolution as well. Having this OPEN MINDEDNESS makes me spiritual in the process... transcending limitations and materialism like richard dawkins.

And that certainly is a worthy goal.

I just find it... ironic. Its a non-issue for many of us, but a lot of fundamentalists who subscribe to a literal interpretation of the bible oppose evolution because the book says differently. But thats another topic, thats why I dropped that line of argument. I just thought of that when you used evolved and I found it funny for some reason.

Evolving has always had a physical connotation for me. Mental and spiritual things iv always associated with the word transcend. But thats just me. Connotation can be a tricky thing

I dont subscribe the Antropomorphic kind of GOD in the bible. I am ONE with Einstein's view of GOD!

the moment you put "IS", mr.regnauld, you have placed definiteness already. and there is the trap. because definitions tend to stop thought. it would have been more prudent to say that, "God is NOT this, God is NOT that", rather than say "God is this, God is that." there have been too many people since time immemorial who have declared those same words. and too many people who also declare otherwise. and there, the conflict starts.

there's just too much God-talk, but not so much God-walk. sometimes, we have to walk our talk. we might as well leave God to each and every person to experience.

Well according to Paramahansa Yogananda, we can know GOD through meditation and he was speaking about the Immanence of GOD and not the Transcendent GOD
