  1. #31

    1 unwanted program

    Pero iya gi-delete.
    Mao ra.
    ................

Ako pod gi-scan ang ako USB drive... same with other AVG, wala pod siya'y na-detect.
Ako na pod gi-test if ok na ba jud.
I created a new folder in my USB and copied one picture file.
    Unplug... then re-plug after 5minutes.

    There it goes again!

Files in ASCII / garbled codes again.

    Im back to square one.

    Here is the latest screenshot...

Mao lang gihapon with Avira around
Bro naka encounter pud ko ingon ana nga problema sa una, labi na kanang mga FAKE USB Drive naka butang 32G pero inside it's 64MB, It's not realy virus but corrupted area of your USB. Na try na nimo reformat imong USB Drive?

As you can see ang mga file size inside your USB is beyond the file capacity of your USB. Just like something wrong with your File Records.

    Try to reformat it.

inig format ana awa diba makita ang katag ana ... kung 20G na mahimo nang 1G ra diay .....

@jack, ad2 daw sa RUN then type cmd. then kung naa naka sa cmd window etype ang: tasklist
then ecopy (by rightclicking the list then select MARK, then higlight the lists then rightclick again para macopy) ang list then e-paste diri.

unya e-type pud ni sa cmd nga window:
    REG QUERY "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon" /v Shell

    og ang

    REG QUERY "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon" /v Userinit

then epaste pud diri ang result anang duha.

And copying the old files back doesn't seems to trigger the "virus phenomenon".

But unfortunately, NONE OF THEM DETECTED 'anomalies' in my USB drive.

AVG, Avira, Malwarebytes and SpyDoctor DETECTED NOTHING in my USB DRIVE.

    Im really wondering why.

My USB drive is an 8gig Sandisk usb.
    8gig jud iya capacity Sir.
As posted before.. i've tried formating it already. 8gigs man gihapon ang result.
And what if you try to use another USB Drive kung naa ba dyud problema gikan sa imong PC.

Ang suspect dyud nako kay imong USB.

Kani ra jud usa >>> agn 8gigs USB drive.

And now... for the second time... i am REFORMATting may 8gigs usb drive.
I hope naa ni maayo nga result. Kay ako man gi-disinfect (usb disinfector) before nako gi-format.
Oh naa man diay na, as you say duha ka USB drive walay problem with the same procedure you did with the same PC, meaning wala nay blema ang PC and the 2 USB drive.. As what I have said before naay chance nga GUBA ang imong USB drive. Naa dyud limitation ang READ and WRITE sa imong USB Drive. It's not virus...

Like all flash memory devices, flash drives can sustain only a limited number of write and erase cycles before failure. This should be a consideration when using a flash drive to run application software or an operating system. To address this, as well as space limitations, some developers have produced special versions of operating systems (such as Linux in Live USB)[31] or commonplace applications (such as Mozilla Firefox) designed to run from flash drives. These are typically optimized for size and configured to place temporary or intermediate files in the computer's main RAM rather than store them temporarily on the flash drive.

Most USB flash drives do not include a write-protect mechanism, although some have a switch on the housing of the drive itself to keep the host computer from writing or modifying data on the drive. Write-protection makes a device suitable for repairing virus-contaminated host computers without risk of infecting the USB flash drive itself.

    conclusion:

Mao sige ug balik, kay mao diay ang mga files sa USB imong gi pang back up didto sa HD including the suspected files, then after reformat imo rapud diay e balik, mao sad mag balik balik ang sakit sa imong USB.

Bro for your additional protection from any plugged USB device we can block the autorun function also works for CD/DVD roms.

You can use the Microsoft's TweakUI.

    http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe

e Install then adto sa imong control panel, naay TweakUI didto.

    Check my screen shot.

Click also the Types, and uncheck both USB and CD and DVD Drives.
