I guess it also depends on how you define religion. Religion for me is about rituals and practices, those that are created by humans as a form of reverence or for other purpose. I don't have to be bound by that, because like I said, what matters to me is my faith in God. of course, I read the Bible, and I do understand the need of a ministry, but I don't have to be confined with such religious things for me to say that I truly believe in him or I have faith in Him. There are different ways on how we view faith, and there are different methods on how we worship.

The Jesus I Never Knew doesn't speak about not knowing Jesus. Again, if you can read it, even its summary, it is simply taking a different look of who Jesus is, na he's not really someone others picture him out to be. It's not that he doesn't know him. Philip Yancey grew up in a church, but for me lang ha, he gave me a whole new glimpse of who he is.

About questioning, of course, I question things. I cried over things, simply because some truths hurt, but in the end, it's important for me to stand to something I could definitely believe in, and I prefer to believe in God. I guess personal faith is just too difficult to explain to someone who doesn't see you on the same level.

I don't condemn you, though, for not believing anymore. I respect your decision, just as I respect other people's views here.

lots of Biblical non-sense. that whole God-sent-his-son-Jesus-to-save-us-from-our-wordly-sins is pure non-sense. what is God's motive for doing that? he could have just came down on earth and wipe out all our sins. but nope, for some reason he instead decided to send his "son" in a dramatic fashion---being born out of a virgin woman who has never had s3x her entire life. then poof! all of a sudden, this virgin woman's pregnant. how ridiculous.

as if God wasn't contented, he intentionally made Jesus look stupid and have people crucify him to allegedly redeem us of our sins. fast forward thousands of years later, we as a society are still the same, atrocious people---even ten times worse. if i meet God face to face, i have one question for him---why go through all that hassle?
