for now im just looking for a Canon DSLR that is really suited for beginners.. i need to explore first the lower models, and once I get the hang of it, i can then go for the higher models..

if thats the case, if you would be upgrading later then get the highest model you can afford since budget is of no concern. try the xxD or the xD models

but if you really want to try out lang jud.. buy a 2nd hand 450D try it out then sell it if you're done with basic getting to know then get the 1D MkIV!!!! ahahahahaha...

If ganahan raka mo-explore for now sa beginner nga model then get the 1000D 2ndhand will do since imo raman kaha ni sulayan eventually mag-upgrade raka to a prosumer/pro models once you outgrow it. In a way dili dako ug dmg sa imo bulsa eventhough nag-mention naka nga budget is not a concern. Invest more on the glass like what Recon25 said.

BTW I'm selling my 1000D w/ kitlens, PM lang if interested ka =)

why not go directly to higher models? so that dako2x ang imong room to grow and for sure,

Kung dili issue ang budget nimo Bro, dretso nalang sa mga high end nga models mao ra kat-ona. Dili mana buot pasabot nga kung newbie ka, kinahanglan nga sa pang-beginners lang gyud ka. Parehas nako nga walay budget maong sa pang-newbie lang sa pero kung ako dili issue ang budget, dretso nako sa D700uy ... hehe. Ikaw ka Canon man ka, 7D na dretso ... gogogo

budget isnt much of an issue, i just need to know which Canon model is best suited for beginners so that I could check the online reviews for it..

Dude it should be playing around the 40-45k price range (with kit lens). Try calling Pixel Pro for the latest prices (4209155).

i have already decided on which model i should buy..

im going for the 500D for now.. i might end up biting more than i could chew if i go for higher models right away..
