"Moreover, it is unkind to say that he was chosen by Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia as her running mate solely because of his good looks. It doesn’t hurt anyone that he or she is attractive; even job seekers are reminded that they must at least possess a pleasing personality if they want to apply.

But there must be other things that Soco brings to the table other than his pretty face that convinced the governor that he would be an asset in her campaign and to the Province.

What these are, the Cebuanos would like to know although Soco’s success as an entrepreneur has been cited as one of his outstanding qualities.

There are those who suggest, however, that there is something that more than meets the eye in the Gwen-Glenn tandem.

That is to be expected, given our penchant for gossip and the governor’s abundant share of detractors. She must have already foreseen this but nevertheless took the risk because she was confident that they could both handle the intrigue."

I am emphasizing the highlighted parts coz somehow it is true.

para nako, Glenn Soco could become a better vice guv than Greg Sanchez. who knows? A role model for entrepreneurship is what we need these days...

hahaha. sugsugan gyud gihapon ka noh. bsan unsa pa i-add nimo, multiplier effect gihapon ang labas ana.

1+1 is not equal to 2. It is 1+1=3. Simply put, the power of synergy.

now the question, which multiplier effect would you choose?

    (1) gov office + landed elite and boss
    (2) gov office + career professional (i.e. lawyer, accountant, engineer, etc)
    (3) gov office + entrepreneur/businessman

as for me, I don't dream of being a landed elite. that is not my role model. Perhaps the reason of my bias for Gibo and Villar.

My best role model is a successful entrepreneur who can also serve the people one way or another. Another is no. 2 in the list.

Landed elites and bosses only comprise 1% of the population while entrepreneurs in the micro, small, medium enterprises (MSME's) comprise more than 50% of the total Phil. population. In fact, MSME's comprise more than 90% of our total business establishments in the country. The rest of the 10% or less are those big corporations and giants.

So what better public servant who knows the ins and outs of being an entrepreneur?
