well if you're a purist, film would be the best way to go. i realize that dslr sensors tend to have just a minute lapse in quality. i looked up over the net and a lot of photographers agree that senors indeed have limits vs film - limitations that can only be corrected with post processing, sadly.

Sorry ha. I'd like this debate (lingaw man gyud ning ingon ani, its like nikon vs canon) to continue pero the mod in me says OT na gyud ni padung. Or if Motownkid wants it to continue pwede ra pud.

Those who tend to be purist are those who want to set double standards. Usually, they're those who are ahead and insecure when some are catching up. They make rules to make it hard for others to catch up, etc. etc.

baka naman naka automode din yung mga shots nyo and let the camera set all the settings?
if thats the case it might not called a purist kasi you let your camera do all the works

does purist shoot in JPEG or RAW?

they shoot jpg. and they use point and shoot

nowadays most of the pro & hobbyist are photo manipulator. as we all know, competition or innovation of cameras (not to mention those companies) are very tight. morag celfon nalang ang mga dslr karon right? so whats the purpose of editing sa mga outputs or upgrading the camera? palit nalang ko ug P & S nya ako i edit ang ako mga pictures.
