hi hydrozam, im sorry to point this out, but what you're referring to in your above statement is an absolute myth..

1. RES will always grow no matter what container size you'll put it in.. He will just outgrow the said container, and you'll later feel sorry for constricting his movements..This will inevitably result to permanent turtle injuries, which may make him sickly and will shorten his life..
2. Fishbowls used for turtles are referred by US turtle hobbyists as "Death Bowls"..Due to very small volume of water, turtle wastes will accumulate faster, and will ultimately poison the turtle.. This is analogous with a human being forced to live inside a septic tank..
3. Ice Cream contains milk which is not a turtle food.. The amount of calcium contained in milk would not outweigh the danger of killing your RES faster than you anticipate..name it "indigestion, poisoning, etc.. This will also apply to pure salt.. so unless you're in a hurry to bury your turtle, don't feed him milk and chocolate..
4. Be careful with Pechay or any member of that species "Brassica oleracea" wherein brocolli, cauliflower, cabbages belong, bacuase this may cause "goiter" among the RES..
5. Please refer back to #1.. hehe..
