well, don't correct me. Correct the writer of that article instead.
honcho per definition, is one who is in charge, a manager, or a leader.
I don't think the writer went wrong in his definition.
Yes, all that is the opinion of the writer, no doubt about that. But what you also said is an opinion. But which of you two has more verfiable facts as basis?
I also hope you will come to realize that it is not only the Osmenas who brought changes to Cebu. There were other political clans and honchos out there who also contributed to the growth of Cebu.

Back to the topic, if "some" people perceive One Cebu as a machine for the Garcias to be positioned in politics, and the Garcias alone, well sorry but we also have to acknowledge the reality that they are not the only ones doing it. AFAIK, 8 Osmenas are already running now for public office, confirmed or not.
I know that many of you here perceive many Garcias (whether by personal bias or not) running for public office as a bad thing. But we have to be fair to acknowledge that not all people think the way you do. Many people also think that many Osmenas running for office is also a bad thing. Many people also say that enough of the Osmenas. Some also say it's about time that they be replaced with people who are not landed elites and not using extreme bossism to advance their political interests.
