Yes. that's true but with certain requirements, as the full detail (and performance) is only available for very high end gaming rigs. As for the Xbox 360 it's the same deal on any unit. I could have just spent the same amount to upgrade my video card on my gaming rig that still plays anything it throws at it just fine and with decent performance. Instead I had spent my $399 in a whole new entertainment system which is the Xbox 360.

I'm more of the bang for buck person--you can probably tell.

Bang for the buck.. hmmm.. with that kind of HD Tv and all those audio equipments it looks more like to me that your bucks can really bang! =)

A 360 setup can get expensive once you add the HDTV & a decent sound system in the equation. But some people have those already, so the console itself is still a bargain.

@obemon: Exactly dude! thanks for understanding the side-by-side (actually up and down) comparison of my $399.00 investment.

@earlz: Not really. Didn't buy all in one go, man. Refer to obemon's post.

Like I said, I could've gone for a video card upgrade on my still very capable PC but rational thinking pulled me out of my PC-only entertainment system to an Xbox 360.
