Seagate 5 Yeas warranty

From what i know its 3years from the store and +2 years if thru seagate office ( SM Cebu City ) so starting when diay ni nga date of purchase nga gi honor nila as 5years in total, and i ever i bring a harddisk to them do i need to bring the purchase reciept or they can just check the records for the S/N to know when and where i purchased the Item, also do i really need the warranty card since the time i bought my seagate drives wala pay warranty card e hatag ( Jan 2004 ) i still have roughly 8 months from my supplier left. Anyone know the specific details sa ilang warranty terms please inform =)

Never heard of a 'warranty card'. All I know is any Seagate internal hard drive purchased from an authorized reseller after July 26, 2004 will carry a 5yr warranty. Like you said, resellers should be able to track the warranty validation of that drive from it's Serial No & Model No.

yup i-check lang sa seagate na site if undr waranty pa, ako migo naka pailis na took him 2 weeks to get a replcement.

Hmmm 2 weeks, i was thinking that they would do on the spot testing and if proven defective i could get an immediate replacement. is that 2 weeks a normal running time gyud sa warranty ? or sa pilipinas rasad ng 2 weeks sa uban countries mas dali ba ?

kung imo samok samokon less than a week, that is if your drive is really defective as in dili na gyud mu on. kung minor defects dugay tingali kay e test pana tanan. kato case nako patay man gyud ang drive so diritso ilis.

kana from july 24, 2k6 issue. kung naa ko defective sata disk then dli mu warranty ang store gi palitan nako kay 1 yr na daw na lapas. usaon mana? pag 2k5 man na palit.

From what i know all seagate drives purchased jan 01 2005 have atleast 3years from store warranty, nya uban minaro or tinapolan so epa agi nalang na ug seagate office at SM

ang i cover sa seagate kay 2-3 yrs lang bro!! beyond ana ipadala na nimo sa singapore!!!!! i mean kong 4-5 yrs na sinagpore na nimo i claim ang warraty ana!!! bro!!!pero kong wala panay one yr!!! sa reseller langna i claim ang warranty!!!!

I been to PCX this afternoon. 1 year ra man ang ilang ihatag na warranty on Seagate Harddrives, if it exceeds the 1year warranty sa service center na daw i claim ang warranty until it's 5th year.
