well, you can put it that way. it's up to you to say that as it is your own opinion. But hold on. Do not only single out this family.

The Osmenas have already sucked out tons of taxpayer money for many generations since their lolo became a politician. Perhaps it is now the turn of the Garcias. but wait! The Osmenas dili mgpalabot ana mao ibalik gyud nila ang pag control sa Cebu...hahaha. one coffee talk says maayo nlng daw kno ang Garcia mamahin kaysa kad2ng c Lito O. dili gyud kno mamahin...

mao murag makigpatay gyud ang mga Osmena by hook or by crook nga dili makuha sa lain ang Cebu City...I heard long time ago that Alvin was defeated last elections to Tomas coz Tomas bombarded buying votes in the last minute. Gabaha gyud kno ang kwarta ni Tomas and the only thing the Garcias did was only watch in shock and awe.

dia napud ka giddy! simple ra kaayo na kong gusto gyud ka masayod dia ai.....

lito O governor: 1988-1992 one term governor
pabling - 3 terms as governor (sleeping lang...)
doling - 2 terms as governor (posing2x lang... plus ANOMALYA!)

in maguindanao MASSACRE by ampatuan family, pinatyanay sa mga tawo!
in cebu BAKAKCRE by garcia family, pinatyanay sa BALAOD ug KAMATUORAN!

Agree! Osmena has been in the political arena since the commonwealth. Ang naka pait lang ug naka parat kay kaning mga Garcia bugwit pa gali in the political arena grabeh na mangawat ug grabeh na ka abosado. I can't remember Pabling Garcia's legacy during his time as a Governor. Unsa gali iyang nabuhat? How about Gwen Garci, CICC multiplier effect Balili lot CPRD multi million kitchen CSBT 5 peso?? Suroy2x sa Sugbo ug Sayaw2x ig sinulog??

This is another example of bugwit in political arena bag.o pa gali mao nani iyang nabuhat.
"The present controversy involves the preventive suspension order issued on June 25, 1999, by the Office of the Ombudsman (Visayas) in OMB-VIS-ADM-99-0452, against petitioner Cebu City Mayor Alvin B. Garcia and eight other city officials. Under the said order, petitioner was placed under preventive suspension without pay for the maximum period of six months and told to cease and desist from holding office immediately"

"They don’t have a significant power base of their own compared to kingpins like the Osmeñas and the earlier Cuenco and Durano families,” explains Mojares. “They are positioned as junior allies or, you might say, consiglieris of such dominant figures as Marcos (as in the case of Gullas) or the Osmeñas — a connection that facilitates their advancement to positions where they can begin or are able to break away and challenge their patrons.”

Thats the opinion of the writer what matter most is the legacy, the change and the progress they brought to Cebuano. Osmeñas did that!
