Default Inquiry: Can I Make Our TV into a Monitor?

    tech gurus,i need your advice:

im planning to make our TV into a monitor..its a projector type 42" tv (samsung) and it doesnt have RGB input but only A/V..it is already HD TV ready(its printed on the frame)..havent checked if there is HDMI input at the back..

my pc's specs are: Intel Core 2 Duo E7400,Asus P5KPL-AM,2GB Kingston 667MHz,GMA X3100 integrated graphics and its running Windows Vista Home Basic..

now i'd like to ask if i need to buy other hardware for this?aside of course for the RGB to A/V Converter - is there such a thing?

if this is possible,im planning to buy a wireless keyboard and mouse..hope you guys can help me..thanks!

    thanks for the replies..

i dont know the particular model of the tv,but its a "projector-type" tv,not LCD,plasma,LED or crt..this type of tv was short-lived,because after this was released, the LCD tvs started coming out..i just found out it has S-Video Input..my mobo doesnt have S-Video Output, just 2 RGB Outputs..i dont wanna buy a dedicated graphics card as im not really a hardcore gamer and the GMA X3100 is quite enough for my present needs..what else do i need?is there an RGB to S-Video Converter Cable?

im also wondering about the tv tuner..what is it used for?can i use that even if i have a cable box?currently i have a subsrciption from skycable and they provided us with a cable box..

i think wa pa ko kita ug vga to other pero ako na bantayan is dvi to hdmi or dvi to s-video etc. try sa cdrking basin makita nimo imo gipangita although if importante nimo ang graphics niya sa display di ko mo recommend sa s-video kay sa ako experience di siya nindut ug output or basin sa ako lang to na problem.
anyone pls correct if di mao inyo na experience.
