the height factor actually pertains more for ramp models... it's just the public notion that all models have to be tall
^^ aok.. thanks po.. unsaon man pag-apply?![]()

the simplest way is just pass in a good head shot and full body shot with a resume.Â* if you've got extra cash or a good photographer willing to do it for free then have a portfolio made in a variety of clothes, poses, and expressions.Â* 5~10 prints is a good start.
but be wary what of what agencies you join... many have questionable practices and ethics.Â* do your homework and research what jobs an agency gives it's models.Â* if they have a website see what kind of models they have and how they are presented.Â* and also be wary of photographers who just want to get your clothes off.Â* if it's a trade then make sure you get good pictures first.
for portfolio building photoshoots see sample work of the photographer/s you want to work with.Â* bring sample photos of shots you want to do.
a hint for those who are on a tight budget... we have something called a TFP shoot (meaning time-for-print).Â* a model will offer her time to pose for a photographer in exchange for free prints (or CD of digital images).Â* this usually happens when:
- a new model works with a new photographer where they both can build a body of work
- a photographer wants to try something out (e.g. test a new camera, lighting style, posing idea, etc...) and needs someone to practice on
- a model wants some fresh work for a portfolio and doesn't want to wait for the next modeling assignment
there are no set rules or governing laws for tfp shoots so anything can happen.Â* but some of the usual practices are:
- it's a collaboration between the model and the photographer and can have equal say on clothes, makeup, and poses
- model and photographer agree on division of responsibilities (e.g. who takes care of food, transportation, make up artist, is everything equally split?... etc...)
- resuliting photos are usually ment for use only in porfolios, marketing materials, and/or online gallery of both the model and the photographer
