Question lng about sa drivers..

ako gi check tnan devices k na detect tanan.

pero ako video card k wala control panel. xfx 9600gt akong video card, nag dl nko sa win7 na driver sa xfx na site pero d mo tiwas og install.. "the system has not been modified.." ang message mo gawas. try to run bla bla at a later time daw.

para sa inyo, do i need to use the cd's that came w/ my hardware? (mobo,keyboard,gpu etc)

Though Windows 7 detected the video card successfully, it probably just installed a generic driver for it. That is why you're not getting the nVidia Control Panel and what not. You can try running Windows Update to check if a quality tested nVidia driver is available for download (it will normally be listed under 'Optional Hardware Downloads').

Or you can just download the driver straight from nVidia's website. Try here
You didn't tell us whether you have 32-bit or 64-bit of Windows 7 so make sure you pick the right OS on the list.

mao sad na ako problema few weeks ago. what i did was uninstall ang driver gi install sa win7, nya ako dayon gi install ang vidcard driver, pero dili gyud sya mo homan, just like sa imo problema. gi safe mode nako pag install ang vidcard driver sa ako, ni stop around 50%, ni pilit gyud. so akong nlang gi reset. pag normal boot nako, ni install ra ang driver, weird gyud kaau. im also using a much older driver version para sa ako vidcard.

get the latest driver at nvidia's website just like what obemon said.
uninstall the previuos driver on control panel.
reboot on safe mode and use driver sweeper to clean remaining registry files of the old driver.
download driver sweeper here. Driver Sweeper
reboot on normal mode and install the latest driver.

if symptoms persist, consult your vendor....hehehe

na solve na nko.. ako na gi try tong uninstall daun install sa cd og asta tong gikan sa website sa xfx. la ni work. nalimot ko na activated man diay ni ako na download na windows 7 meaning mga update ko. ga check for updates ko, iya daun gi detect tnan ako hardwares.. weee.
