Bai, you've made the most sense in this thread so far! Working stiff, employee, self-employed, big time businessman, does it really matter that much? As long as you are in gainful employment and a positively contributing member to the betterment of society (and not just yourself) you deserve a pat in the back. Never mind those who belittle your efforts or your status. The dignity of honest labor is way beyond the mere contempt of little minds.

In as much as I'd like to give the TS the benefit of the doubt, I cannot help but think that the TS harbors an unhealthy degree of contempt for call center employees. There cannot be a proper discussion over a topic that is already skewed and skewered from the beginning. And then it just goes downhill from there. peace out!

daghan dire typical employee mentality... ok ra man nah.. but going into business,, you should change that...

any business is potentially better than any job (except being president of the phils)..

ang increase sa income sa trabahante thru paycheck kay +2, +3, +5, increments lang..

sa business kay x2, x3, x5, exponential..

sa business pud.. makatabang ka sa imo kababayan, by employing them, giving them an honest income, and mka provide pa jud ka products sa community..

add lang nako ha....Money isn't the only important thing in life and what's the point of earning it if you don't have the chance to enjoy it? Work may play a significant role in our definition of who we are, but it certainly shouldn't be all that we are. starting up a business is very time-consuming, the ultimate goal is to create enough recurring income to give ourselves more free time. This is not possible in a job, except for a very fortunate few. You may well want to stop commuting for hours every week , followed by a ride on the bus part of your daily routine? Bad enough first thing in the morning, but then you have to repeat the process after a busy day, when you just want to get home and have a long soak in the bath. This is stressful at the best of times, but add traffic jams, bad weather ug uban pa ....and this is enough to exhaust anyone before they have even started work. Get a life beyond the office....

para nako time is more important than money.. pila lang ka years, ill meet my maker na.. dapat enjoy it to the fullest..

and also i prefer to be close to my children while they go up.. if i were busy in my job (or self employed sa business), murag dili ko kanunay naa para nila...

nindot pud wui nga maski mag bakasyon2x ko outside the phils, money still comes into my account.. thats what i call freedom..

all i can say is, everything depends on your personal truth, and with the skills u have developed all these years. Some men have high IQ for business while some are better employees than being a businessman. Business is the only thing that can greatly free a person from striving so much for money. I agree. But, finding the right business, finding ways to make it gorw and sustain its growth are the hardest details most people can't find. Why force yourself to be a businessman when obviously you don't have the brains to crunch numbers, management, and development? Why not be a successful employee instead? If you are an employee, and you feel that its not enough for you, why not try to venture in business? But not everyone can be successful, even no matter how hard you try... Like what Donald Trump said, there is a certain luck in business. If you are happy and contented (even if you're just settling), then thats great for you. If you're earning good money as an employee and yet you're still unsatisfied, then my friend i believe you are a businessman....or one greedy person.
