THE MARRIAGE OF THE SOUL
DESCENDING to the earth,
That strange intoxicating beauty of the unseen world
Lurks in the elements of Nature.
And the soul of man,
Who has attained the rightful balance,
Becoming aware of this hidden joy,
Straightway is enamoured and bewitched.
And from this mystic marriage are born
The poets' songs, inner knowledge,
The language of the heart, virtuous living,
And the fair child Beauty.
And the Great Soul gives to man as dowry
The hidden glory of the world.
The Secret Rose Garden, by Florence Lederer, 1920
"God lives also in man. Therefore if we are but seeking and loving our own (true) self, we then love God. That which we do to each other we are doing to God. He who seeks and finds his brother and sister has sought and found God. We are in Him all one body with many members, each of which has its own functions." (Threefold Life, xi. 106.)-from the book The Life and Doctrines of Jacob Boehme, by Franz Hartmann, [1891]
The wisdom of our ancestors
frequently puzzles modern people.
In fact an average person is totally
unaware of that wisdom and most of todays
thinkers who study ancient writings do not
understand their true meaning.
nice thread Brother Malic are you in egypt right now , staying in abroad?
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. - Psalm 111:10
thank you for this verse, in my opinion the verse im about to post is better...He answered: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.- Luke 10:17
there is no fear in Love and wisdom.![]()
I have a background in biblical hermeneutics. my opinion...Ps.111:10 and Luke 10:17 do not have the same exegesis and the former is prone to misinterpretation. So if you would like to relay a message to the people on having the right devotion to God its better to use Luke 10:17.
I would like to request your good heart not to post bible verses here anymore. If you want, you can make a different thread where you can post all the verses you like, as you can see this is a thread dedicated to the exposition of the forgotten wisdom of the ancient.

"If you love God, keep His commandments."
