I myself watched some episodes of the 1960s TV series and all the classic crew movies of Star Trek. Although I've seen much of the adventures of Kirk's crew, as well as those of Captain Picard (TNG), I don't consider myself a Trekkie.
Still I admire Star Trek for what it is and the 2009 movie is, in my view, the most entertaining yet. I know that Trekkies won't agree with me but I must say I admire the new direction of Star Trek.
For the next Star Trek, I sure hope director J.J. Abrams will be back to direct it.
nindot jud kaayo ang special DVD, nakapalit ako cousin sa ohio, sus profile pic jud dayon ang USS enterprise sa facebook! hehehe...
they even mentioned it's not a reboot and it's not a prequel.. mura lain lang jud nga pagka-tell sa story sa star trek without stepping on the original star trek
i love it!
the orig? wala pa, huwat pako ipadala sa ako cousin gkan ohio. hehehe..
What can you guys say about the performances of the new cast?
I'll say this - Karl Urban PERFECTLY captures the essence of the character Dr. McCoy and his performance reminded me so much of the late DeForest Kelley. Although Urban claimed he did not imitate Kelley, the film shows otherwise. Heck, Urban captured the mannerisms of Kelley's McCoy. He even sounded like the old actor.
