UPDATE LANG KO SA AKON 5G NANO..cycle nako balik ni another 2 weeks,nag add ko bato gud di kaapas sa nitrate cycle ako tanke..hinaut maka abot pa ni sa show..patabang nya ko buhat suga ani..unsay ideal sa 5g? pila ka watts?

upadate lang ko sa ako gihimo na improvised aquarium chiller using Thermo-Electric Module(TEM)

As of today:

Lowest temperature obtained: around 26 degrees(last evening na bugnaw ang panahon)
During noon time: around 28.5 degrees
normal room temp. during morning and evening: around 28 Degrees.

The design is still under observation for faults and improvements.

Ongoing activities:

-Plan for improvements for more efficient cooling(hardware modification):Will modify the heatsink for more efficient dissipation of heat from the TEM. The more dissipation of heat increases the cooling power of the TEM.

-Designing of power supply enclosure, need additional fan for the PS heatsink.

Observations:

-Lighting fixtures affect the over-all temperature of the tank.-need more ventilation on the fixtures
-The ambient temperature, volume and surface area of the tank limits the cooling capability of the TEM.
the larger the volume the longer the time for the TEM to cool the tank, larger surface area can yield faster heat transfer between the tank and environment.
