i wud not say further regarding US nurses as pictured by ur family! well, understandable they are ur family and their opinion will always matter to a great deal in YOU. i wish u gud luck nalang.

regarding ur topic, this has been reflected already on the other threads. but if u surf www.ncsbn.org for which all the boards of each state are there, then press the link to the state u like to get registered for NCLEX. print their application form and comply with it completely. u dont actually need an agency to process for you ky it's a NO BRAINER THING TO DO!

OT: yes, i am and m once in ur shoes too. mao bitaw m trying to give a lil pic on wat is going on sa US these days NOT for reasons to put discouragement to all applicants but to HELP in the first place. its just a matter of being practical and NOT loosing ur time for NOTHING. at least, for the new RNs ul have the heads up and u wud be able to look for other ways ur skills will be put to use while riding off on this gobal recession.

but hey, who am i for u or others to follow diba? to tell u honestly, i knew the process coz i did mine and even so i found my employer during my vacation sa US sometime 2002. but i didnt rely all the work to the employer's contracted agency to process for me. infact ang agency pay nalibre sa ako efforts ky dawat ra sila limpyo. the agency was just the headhunter for RNs by the employer but other agencies are the employer themselves, mao ni ang kuyaw!

during my time, was also years of recession but once US got back in their feet ky it was the right time i was more than half way of my international requirements. it took them only 8 mos in the waiting b4 i got deployed to US.

so, para nako lang ha...i have a bit of an idea of how the process goes. BUT gud luck nimo....if it will help u, read the US immigration processing for Employee based sponsorships so ul have the idea
