When you say "slang", do you mean an exaggerated American accent? If so, then I agree with you, chemhakz1025.
And there are people who do speak a little too loud in public places without consideration of the other people around them.

the thing is SOME (some nalang) people who claim to not being comfortable with bisaya. or to those who shamed being branded baduy or "bisaya-a nimo oi".
are those who's trying oh so much to speak in accents they don't have.
my point is---worry more on the proper dictions and grammar or a least the thingss u wanna express effectively in lesser and simpler words. rather than forcing your stiff tongues into it.
and credit should go to those who put more of their efforts in communication in english more effectively rather than intentionally inject an unnatural manner of vocalizing words that can somehow distort its intended conveyance. naa na hinuon di kasabot samot
also pud as stated by swordfish about buying balot..."hey balut dude how much dough will it cost me to score one of your embryonic balls...ah mean---egg. got change for a 50 bucks and can I have some pate foies gras to go with it or some bastard...ay este--mustard diay?". hehehe
ridiculous it may seem pero theirs a certain truth regarding these.
some (hopefully not most) speak in such either to intimidate (sa katong wala pud alamag tawn hahah) or to elevate themselves to a certain sense of being "elite" (i hope not ELITEtirate. hahah)
they engage themselves to others even unnecessary to a lesser someone but when encountering a real literate and articulate "adversary" they always tend to shy away or back out. hahaha
sakto pud unta ma inspired atong kabataan mu speak english but please pud not in the wrong sense or mean

For me, if i could hear people who speaks english and are very fluent, i feel proud. It's because it shows that a lot of filipinos are capable of speaking fluently even if it's not their native tongue. It shows our capability to embrace other lifestyles/languages/etc.
