Default "Return to Big Falcon" (classic anime)

Just sharing a video (technically it's called a "machinima") that we made, using Second Life as our "shooting location" Most of the objects seen in this video are made by us (i.e. the Voltes vehicles/robot, Camp Big Falcon, etc.) but other items are made by other content creators. The video is inspired by the Voltes V Ending Theme.

FALCON PAAAWNCH!!!.... oh wait, it's not. XD

Impressive, I'd say. Not really a fan of the realistic 3D style, nor have I worked on 3D renderings of this nature, but I can see that this definitely is on a higher level. The amount of detail the video contains is vast, specifically on the background/ surrounding objects, and the high resolution/ detailed textures/ lighting is always an eye candy.

However, even though the song somewhat sets an 'empty' mood, there are a few parts where the video is too 'empty' and its emptiness does not relate/sync to the video, making it feel and look 'stiff'. I also feel that some panning is unnecessary or awkward. Another thing is that there are varying emotions expressed by the song, and the video only portrays a monotonous emotion all throughout the video. A little more camera placement/ control or on the 'views' of the characters and the overall relation/sync of the audio and video ( maybe some dramatic scenes?)

Overall, it's awesome man. I'm looking forward to more of your works in the future.

    EDIT: insert facepalm.jpg here

Thanks BTW, this is NOT a 3D render--you can actually visit this place inside Second Life. Meaning, when we shot this video, our avatars were actually in the scene, moving around. The Voltes vehicles are even flyable!

I allow me to add a facepalm.jpg to my comment. I actually thought it was an actual 3D animation you made. guess I'll explore the site then.

    You can visit it here:

    Camp Big Falcon, Avatrian Central

You have to create a Second Life avatar first though, and download the Second Life client program.

Second Life has been around for over 6 years now It's not as popular as say, World of Warcraft, simply because the Second Life world isn't designed as a place for "pre-built fun" (i.e. quests, adventures, guilds etc)...it's a place designed in such a way that YOU determine what's fun in it or not (content creation, community creation, etc). I've been working as a content creator inside Second Life for over 2 years now.
