All I know that my God is real. You can call me crazy, idiot, stupid, or whatever for believing in him. But he has changed my life and the lives of many of my loved ones in ways that I could never imagine. Each day has never been beautiful, and I was never able to appreciate my life so much better than before, because he's teaching me to appreciate the gifts that he has given me and use all of them for his glory.
Why do you say bro that that means that the Bible got it wrong? With regard to the age of the earth, most Christians understand it figuratively, not a literal 7-day creation.
The Genesis account also tells it like this, that God created the world out of nothing. I think that's the more interesting part of the story. Doesn't contemporary cosmology support that thesis (i.e., creation ex nihilo)?
Oh, are we, I'm sorry if we are.
Okay, to go back to the original point Chad made. I think he was saying that science can't disprove the non-existence of God, so I wondered whether he can really rely on science to give him the answer to the question of God's existence or non-existence.
Now, you said that science at least proves that the earth wasn't created in a few days or thousands of years. Well, most Christians would agree with you there. But what about the question of the earth's, or the universe's, origin? Doesn't contemporary science support the biblical account?
How convenient to discard the parts that are blatantly wrong, and then move on to another part, a part that can not be proven/dis-proven and then proceeding to put stilts of 'argument from ignorance' to hold it up.
but what has this got to do with the topic?
you can be a moral person without god.
heck, morals can be thrown out the window because of god gani.
How did you come to the conclusion that the account of the earth's age is blatantly wrong? How do you know that the author of Genesis did not intend it to mean figuratively?
What makes you say bro that the origin of the earth or the universe can't be proven nor dis-proven? I think there's one thing that we're reasonable to believe here, that the universe originated out of nothing. Don't you agree?
Okay, let's go back to the topic.but what has this got to do with the topic?
you can be a moral person without god.
heck, morals can be thrown out the window because of god gani.
What do you mean by that bro, that a person can do acts that are objectively good or objectively bad without God?
