Im proud of being a catholic,,because of the achievments of Mama teresa & the late sto. papa, other than that honestly wala talagang rason to be proud of,sorry, specially kung ka-anib ko pa sir bungot,nakakahiya,whaaaa

by giving us moral codes to live by...but i don't agree with some religious methods of using fear to reinforce those codes. love would have been more simple.

love. moral code? ... a rather simplistic attempt. one must first ask, how is the moral code implemented? in the first place, do you think that man, without the State, would share his love if he could just kill the closest neighbors which happens to be the biggest competitor for basic necessity?

accumulate wealth? and all of a sudden where back to the Dark Ages? hahaha.

part of being catholic that i am proud of:

the church wants to make this world a better place to live in. she doesn't always succeed. sometimes her actions are misguided. but at least she tries.

but i could say the same for almost all religions

I am proud of being a Catholic and I showed my gratitude to being one by offering a sign of the cross each time I pass by a Catholic Church.

like Manny Pacquiao making the sign of the cross before a fight. so as the other [Catholic] athletes doing the same gesture before their game---or it could be as simple as raising their pointer finger up towards the sky after a 3-point shot or a touchdown pass. i wonder if "GOD" helps them win their fight/game.

If their confidence helped them win, then I think their belief in a god did help them somehow. (In my eyes, not god per se..)

in an indirect way it could be possible. but you know how it is---people tend to give credit to God for the good things---then turn to Satan for the bad things.
