These environmentalists should talk sense. Cebu has an ongoing power crisis and some of them don't care about it.

It's a good thing the editorial was published so that the public will learn the different kinds of enviromentalists.

Take the case of Cebu. If the uncompromising pseudo environmentalists would have their way, they would shut down all coal-fired power plants this coming Sunday, while God is resting, and never mind if we all get transported back to the Stone Age.

Well we have to consider their clamors after all they want to preserve Cebu from becoming an island of pollution; The opposing parties should meet and settle things to diminish environmental degradation without sacrificing the province's productivity

recycling.. there are many instances that recycling consumes more power than the production of goods itself.. which means more coal are burned to process waste products than to create new products... which means more air pollution

naa jud times nga the landfill is more environment friendly and cost effective of dealing with garbage...

recycling is good, but there are times it does more harm than good..

before we take any action. we must first study the effects and costs of such action..

the word here is sustainable development.. there's no point in going back to the dark ages and theres no point in killing the planet.. balance lang ba....
