socket AM3 is some few pins short of AM2+. u can use AM3 processors on AM3 and AM2+ sockets, but not the other way around...

so if imohang mobo is socket AM3, do not buy socket AM2+ or AM2 processor kay dili gyud na musulod bro...

@yugi not only the x3 and x4 are quadcores naa say x2 na quadcore naa ko sa 7750 and 7850 black editions they are examples of a quadcore with 2 cores na gi lock down.

Anyway not all PHENON II X3 ma unlock bro. Naay uban 4th core gi permanently disabled. I know w/ using that mobo will probably unlocked those Phenon II X3 4th core... pero di gihapon tanan maka guarantee.
