lol. there is no such thing as "the largest" number. i could always add 1 to whatever anyone in here can come up with to get a larger number, and then add some more to increase the value.

the word end would give a hint as to what the largest number is. nothing lasts forever. if its the largest number then you cant add 1 to it [if you're going to be strict about its definition]. think there should be a new term that corresponds to it since the word infinity would refer to unboundless or unlimited. the largest number here corresponds to a limit.

since nobody alive can know, not even prove, what the largest number is, the only practical answer would be to use an analogy. try to ask children who has just learned to count what they think is the largest number.
