hehehe.. unsa bay nka immoral anang mo spray sa saging? maau man gani na kay para pesticides and fertilizers..

immoral ra ni kay ang church with all its tae ni ingon nga immoral daw ni without even a reliable study.. naa pud nag research pero gungho kaau mo blame sa aerial spraying.. imagine nlang nga niingon ang researcher nga drinking water daw ang canal..

the immoral here is the misinformation that is being done against the plantation.. nangusog ani ang simbahan kay wala kadawat donation dikan sa plantations.. hehehe.. actually mas grabe ka producer og pollution ang mga substitence farmers compared sa big plantations..

ako propose nga solution ani is to move the inhabitants of those areas to safer areas.. kay maski undangan pag spray, naa man ghapon water and soil contamination.. people will continue to get sick.. so mas maau, ipalayo nlang mga tao kay ang kahoy, di man mabalhin..

So you are proposing to displace whole communities into another area? If that area is still affected by the aerial spraying and ground contamination, move them to another province? Another region? In effect you are forcing thousands of families to become refugees from their own hometowns.

These people have been in the affected areas for generations. They might not even be workers or tenants of the banana plantations itself but own, lease, farm and live in the surrounding lands. They were there long before corporate owned banana plantations began operations. Just because these corporations and entities own or lease a large piece of the land does not give them the right to shoo away people living around their plantations.

What you are proposing is tantamount to bullying. Just think on a smaller scale. You have a modest home in a quite neighborhood. Then some rich people move in and build a house right beside your own. You don't care how they live in their home. But they converted their house into a junk yard and start accumulating smelly trash within their yard, and recycling is good business, so they can afford to pay off the barangay captain and the mayor to turn a blind eye on any violations. You begin to be affected by the smell and flies. Would you then relocate considering you were there first or because they have more money and influence than you have?

BTW, bananas are not trees. It's not like mango trees that have deep roots. To harvest a banana tree, you chop off the trunk near its base, after a few months, another "tree" will grow in its place. The chopped off trunk? That piece can be planted elsewhere and it too will grow. So, yes you can relocate a banana plantation.

the problem is not due to the plantations alone.. all farms contribute to the pollution.. subsistence farming produces more waste than organized plantations due to inefficiency..

you dont have to move them very far.. just a distance away from any body of water and crops.. and preferably on high ground... most of these settlements are located near the streams and flatlands..

think about the cost of your proposal.. besides.. the land that is already under the plantation is already "poisoned" or polluted, if you transfer the plants, surely there will be people who will follow then its going to be a cycle.. worse, the new land will again be polluted. so you get twice the area covered by pollution.. if people continue to live their, people are going to get sick.. even if all agriculture stops.. you work on fields but you shouldnt live on it..

behavior wise, the wealthy are often more effecient in disposing their trash.. tanawa ra gud squatter og high end subdivision, spot the difference..

actually this sort of problem isnt new to the phils.. i dont know why sa davao lang jud ang gitirahan.. all areas with a huge agriculture have the same problem..

what is needed is sustainable development.. if you stop the plantations, their will be an economic disaster.. just as what happened to iligan city when national steel stopped operations..

That was not for you to answer . Its " GIKAPY'S " statement that doesnt make to the same page of the discussion .

immoral ra ni kay ang church with all its tae ni ingon nga immoral daw ni without even a reliable study.. naa pud nag research pero gungho kaau mo blame sa aerial spraying.. imagine nlang nga niingon ang researcher nga drinking water daw ang canal..
It is possible that and very BIG CHANCE that it is contaminated due to the AERIAL SPRAYING . I am not that well verse sa AERIAL SPRAYING but I have an idea how it works systemically and with firsthand experience witnessing its advantage and disadvantages . Ikaw , are you familiar with it ? maski slight lang because you talk like its you flies the plane and sprays the plantation .

being the airborne it is , it has the capacity to cover an area even outside the perimeter of the land being farmed . Take the ashes alone of mt Mayon and how it ended up in the areas outside of the danger zone . Kana kay airborne siya .

the immoral here is the misinformation that is being done against the plantation.. nangusog ani ang simbahan kay wala kadawat donation dikan sa plantations.. hehehe.. actually mas grabe ka producer og pollution ang mga substitence farmers compared sa big plantations..
You dont have evidence to say that but because of the freedom of speech and your resort to defeding your argument , that is ok to make it more interesting . My only concern is , mintras wala pa ka proof na mao diay na ang very reason why ni voice out ang church , who do you think is ang IMMORAL for such slander ?

    OT @ GIKAPOY ...

Your last reply will serve as your last warning . You know what I meant on that .
