yeah, i believe you. God and Jesus exist in the scriptures. in fact, they exist in just that, SCRIPTURES---nothing more than ancient play of words and a little use of fanatical imagination.



corrupt the young minds as early as possible. baptize them in the name of GOD when they're still babies. it would be easy since they still can't think rationally for themselves. confirm them when they're 12 year old kids. prohibit them from questioning things, scare them, and say "don't question God because he will get mad!"

same here.. born and raised a catholic.. but the way i see the power plays it does, made me sick to think that i was once devout..

born and raised a Roman Catholic... which was unfortunate... because i grew up having forced by my parents to go to Church even if i didn't want to. that's probably one of the reasons why i'm hostile to this issue. was i told to do bad things? certainly not. what kind of parents would do that to a child?

The reason why I ask that because of course being PARENTS who are GOD FEARING instills to the young minds what is good and identifies what is bad . I might not be so sure about this but comparing it to atheist parents , they dont preach or guide kids to be morally upright and that is the very reason why see westernized kids so out of this world . Walay modo , disiplina and most of all no fear in God that results to violence , recklessness and disrespect to other life forms . Sa atoang side ... medyo exposed ta gamay sa religion thats why maski agnostic / satanic / anti christ / christian or plain atheist ka ... the CONSCIENCE guides you because of the impacts of the teachings of the church . No matter what we say and see it , naa gihapon punto maski naa pod sayop ang simbahan that it upbrings the people morally .

That is probably 1 reason why you are like that now , if I am correct a good kid because of the upbringing of your parents who are Catholics who respects GOD'S laws and not the MAN MADE CHURCH LAWS .

oh no... i'm sorry, but you are INCORRECT about that. just because we are Atheists doesn't mean we don't TEACH our kids to be morally upright. afterall, MORALITY is just not based on religion or religious teachings. you can teach your kids to be GOOD without forcing him to believe in a false supernatural being. to me, teaching your kid to believe in GOD without giving him/her the chance to learn to think CRITICALLY and accept all possibilities is a sign of psychological/mental abuse. why would you brand your child a Catholic/Muslim (or any religion) when that child doesn't even know what Catholicism/Islam is all about?

you seem to have this notion that Atheists do not have morals because they do not believe in GOD. you are the typical Christian and i'm not surprised. people do not need GOD to act good. again, as i have posted before---it is better to act good because you know it is GOOD, than to act good because you know there is some heavenly police watching over you.

did i say hands off ta sa morals sa child? that is your kid so that kid is your responsibility. if your kid grows up being a fundamentalist Christian and stop to think what if there is no GOD or what not, then that is your fault as a parent for teaching him early on that there is indeed a GOD and there is HEAVEN AND HELL. spiritual/emotional blackmail at its core.

I might be INCORRECT because you prove me wrong on a personal level but you cant speak for the ATHEIST community . Thats how you reacted because you are an ATHEIST with a THEIST background . Two generations later on your lineage , I doubt if ang apo sa tuhod nimo would speak like you do sharing the same mindsetting of being an atheist/capable of respecting life due to fear of a God/god .

we are talking about MORALS in the spiritual side . Not the materialistic / literal form of morals . True ... people need not good because there is a God . Thats what happened in WESTERN COUNTRIES now ... at a very young age , commiting crimes / getting pregnant / broken homes and families / depressed lives / etc . They dont have MORALS inclining on being a GOD FEARING person . Maski ang uban THEIST , but they are not practicing it ug walay pakabana .


And you know what i am talking about because you are in the USA right now and I llived there also for 15 years . That is substantial enough to justify based on OBSERVATION . I might not have stats , surveys etc but it doesnt have to be like that as long as you come up with a common denominator .

Those days when you were told to be baptized (if ever you were), those were the days you needed someone to hold on to. You may think they were wrong... and they may be wrong. But it was just part of being a parent. Stay under your father's shelter. Now that you realized their shelter wasn't enough for your security, don't blame them. That's what's available to them. Don't talk about them not having a BMW when they fetched you to school, that time they only have a FORD. But now that you have the capacity to choose which one fits for you, which one you believe is right, (being an atheist or not) you don't have to blame the people, church, your parents, everyone for teaching you spiritual stuffs, especially the ones in the past.

If you happened to be a parent now, you will understand what I'm trying to say. You can't just tell your kids, "Oh children, do what you want to do in life. Eat chocolates or not, it's up to you. I'm not going to enforce any rules. I don't want you to blame me in the future for raising you what you really want to be."

blame them? did i say i blamed my parents for raising me a Catholic? i don't blame my parents. in fact, i am kind of grateful they raised me to be what i am today. if it wasn't for them, i won't be educated enough to know that it would have been better if they didn't raise me with a RELIGION.
