Actually, No. In fact, it was vaguely stated that it was some "legal experts who told abs-cbnnews.com/Newsbreak that she can run as VP.", and not specifically Macalintal.
Even if Macalintal said in the middle part, "While the President could run for vice president, Macalintal thinks that seeking a position in a co-equal branch, like Congress, would be more appropriate for Mrs. Arroyo.", how the writer constructed his article made it look like Macalintal was the first one who said she can run as VP...SEE?
sorry to say, but just reading from that ABS-CBN article is quite misleading. even you are being misled that it was Macalintal who first said that PGMA can run for VP. (That's already proof of what i am trying to say.)
and what is worse is that the writer ended with:
"The ruling Lakas-Kampi-CMD is still scouting for a running mate for Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro, amid reports that several potential candidates are being courted. The party still has around a month to find one, as the deadline in the filing of certificate of candidacy is set on December 1."
so what is he implying (unconsciously) to the readers? your guess is as good as mine.
if u can't read between the lines, you can't get the spin...subtle but obvious.
the message of Macalintal is concise and clear, but the messenger somehow twisted it via their own. so I say shoot the messenger...
That's the fact. No embellishment.
