well, using the same chemicals but not anymore sprayed by aerial plane is op kors another safer alternative. It's as simple as that. They just have to sacrifice the speed, but di ba mahal mag maintain ug eroplano?

what did they use to spray before they used aerial spraying?

so why not a tanker than can spray the chemicals? that way, mas walay stray chemicals that can overstep the boundaries and carried by the wind and inhaled by anyone's nostrils.

what concerns the bishops is that the inhabitants around the plantation can inhale the stray chemicals sprayed by the plane and can cause sickness. It's not BS.

the question here is profitability and sustainability.. there are indeed other alternatives.. but are very expensive.. which would be detrimental to the whole industry, in fact to the country.. this is philippines.. there are only limited capital.. such added costs would be added to the price of bananas making the bananas expensive.. there are other countries that could beat us at price wars..

I don't even think aerial spraying by plane is cheaper than the older methods. Perhaps mas efficient, but I could not surely say mas cheaper.
