but i disagree on your 2nd line.. i hate ignorance.. but i hate more the people who takes advantege of other's ignorance.. kung moingon mga pari nga fertilizers dahilan sa mga sakit, maski they even dont know the truth about fertilizers, motoo jud ng mga less educated people..

mahal baya kaau ang other forms of applying fertilizer over a large areas, equipment pa lang daan hasta ng mahala.. ma patay ang industry ana.. daun naa napud mag rally2x.. mwadan trabaho.. join npa.. kidnap pari.. (but i have no problem with kidnap pari thing)..

lets look at the big picture here..

mo angal ko kay simbahan nagpagara napud.. nagpakaingon kinsa na sab.. mura ra pud og mga correct jud ba..

another BS from the catholic church..

(not the banana ha, but the people around these plantations...)

I know the Church has authority over heavenly matters but aren't they going a bit too far on this one?

well, using the same chemicals but not anymore sprayed by aerial plane is op kors another safer alternative. It's as simple as that. They just have to sacrifice the speed, but di ba mahal mag maintain ug eroplano?

what did they use to spray before they used aerial spraying?

so why not a tanker than can spray the chemicals? that way, mas walay stray chemicals that can overstep the boundaries and carried by the wind and inhaled by anyone's nostrils.

what concerns the bishops is that the inhabitants around the plantation can inhale the stray chemicals sprayed by the plane and can cause sickness. It's not BS.

I don't even think aerial spraying by plane is cheaper than the older methods. Perhaps mas efficient, but I could not surely say mas cheaper.

    @THREADSTARTER ....

    - Profit ra gyud diay ang gi gukod nimo ? hehehe ... Ive read some statements youve got on how a BUSINESSMAN you are .
    - Heard of GLOBAL WARMING ? That is because of the messed up ozone layer due to irresponsible use ug walay pakabana sa kalibutan kay CFC makes lives better ... TEMPORARILY .
    - Misleading ang title nmo . Dili man sa SAGING nanghilabot ang simbahan , sa practica man sa mga farmers ordered by the owners to use chemicals which can damage other crops and peoples health .
    - Bai you want to know real business in the field of FARMING ? Go organic or natural ... it provides ECONOMIC HAVEN for both CONSUMERS and FARMERS REAL PROFIT WISE because it povides NUTRITIOUS and QUALITY PRODUCE not limited to BANANAS only . kabalo ba ka mga 20% na alng ang POTTASSIUM content sa mga sagin na pwerting hamisa ug panit ug pwerting dagkoa ? These are the products of TWISTED NATURE in the name of chemicals .
    - It is indeed immmoral because it is HAZARDOUS to nature and all other living things around it . Dis-a ka gikan anang SAFE ang AERIAL SPRAY bai and NO , its not another HORSECRAP from the CATHOLIC CHURCH .

sakto man sad ang church this time. It's not BS, they're just concerned about people's health.

another example of how people are only concerned with short term gains, pero long term destruction.

ang logic sa thread started -- bahala ug makadaot sa health as long as dili alkansi sa negosyo.

Of course i won't be surprised coming from a guy in Spiritual and occult section that believes in "the survival of the fittest."
