805 vs. 3800
From a stock perspective, in order for the cost of ownership to be the same, it would take 11 years and 8 months. From an overclocked perspective, it would take 7 years and 2 months for the cost of ownership to be the same. In my opinion, the costs of ownership is irrelevant as I don't keep my hardware for more than 5 years, and that's stretching it. To each his own.
thats what im also saying,.. it doesnt need to have a degree in nuclear physics or doctoral degree in calculus to understand that power consumption and cost of ownership in this equation is just too far.Originally Posted by StyM
those saying amd in the long run is cheaper to maintain, is "absolutely true". "absolutely true" if you will own the same setup for the next 11 years

dude i think that's a very good indication na dili mo untok og 100% imong CPU usage, meaning, kayang-kaya ra kaayo niya ang load...Originally Posted by fd
i don't know ha, but i hate to see 100% loading on my CPU... so kung dili 100% that means wala ma stress out kaayo imo CPU... that's the way i see it, and i think it's pretty logical...![]()
currently, gaming systems and multitasking systems should be viewed diiferently... we may get the best of both worlds but there will be trade offs for sure...
If you are really on a gaming stuff, and would took you long hours to spend time with your computer, its better you buy amd. PD805 fan masyado maingay compared to amd which is cool and hindi maingay. But for multiple applications its better PD805. Remember, PD805 is not hyper threading..but has a PWM feature for fan speed control.
pretty impressive huh..i myt b getin ds 4 our file server..
