Also, it is best that bus operators would set up a booking office to sell their tickets outside the bus terminal to help decongest the area. These booking offices should hook up their PCs to the terminal's database and, automatically, assign seats and priority numbers to the paying commuter and all the commuters do is pay the P5 entrance fee and wait for their assigned bus and ETD inside the waiting lounge.
there you go! see senyor byron, mas bright pa ang istoryan nimo, hehe!!

secondary ra man ang commuters, gi-prioritize ang tenants. ana gyud na basta ang dagan sa utok pareho ug "real estate agent"

CROWDS of south-bound passengers lined up for hours outside the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT), as guards regulated entry to keep the lines inside orderly and prevent people from filling up the buses’ parking bays.
As the crowd grew outside the entrance of the CSBT, the tempers of commuters flared.

However, CSBT officials said they had to limit the entry of passengers into the terminal to prevent them from spilling into the parking bay.
Tining Bacaltos, 34, of Barangay Simala, Sibonga told Sun.Star Cebu he and his wife waited for more than three hours under the sun, just to get inside the terminal.
“Naunsa na man ni sila, nganong wala man ni nila gitarong ug paghan-ay? (Why didn’t they organize this properly?) They should have put up railings or barriers to organize the lines outside,” said Bacaltos.
Melissa Momongan, 29, of Argao, Cebu said a commotion nearly erupted when the lines got disorganized. She said the queue was uncomfortable and it was so hot that her two-year-old daughter, Mimi, cried from exhaustion.
Amid the numerous complaints, Eva Encabo, CSBT administrator, said the management was more concerned about the welfare of those already inside the terminal, since this would also affect the situation of those waiting outside.
Because the waiting sheds were packed, Encabo said, the management had no choice but to limit the entry of passengers to the terminal, to keep them from spilling into the parking bays.
The Provincial Government has recently started collecting an entrance fee of P5 per passenger, for the maintenance of the terminal’s renovated waiting areas. (JKV)

kumbate ug antos... mao naman ni ang pamaagi...
    cge pa ta
the queing crowd outside the terminal is i think not anymore under the jurisdiction of CSBT per se but of city hall's. But I was hoping that at least they have organized it better, sa gawas, in coordination w/ Cebu City hall. Note: IN COORDINATION W/ CITY HALL.

this is an example of bitter politics nga nka among sa atong constituents. why? if Cebu City hall could have been cooperative sa bus terminal during the height of Halloween rush, they could have fielded the police in helping the waiting passengers lining up outside. but I assume Mayor Tomas' does not want to dip his hands and help out. Just because kontra sa politika dili nlng diay mo tabang sa katawhan nga musakay sa terminal? Besides, the terminal is inside Cebu City.

Mas maayo nlng na nga hapsay ang sulod sa terminal ug gubot ang gawas kaysa gubot sa sulod ug gubot pud sa gawas. Pero much better hapsay unta ang both. Crowd control management kumbaga bah.

well, what do you expect with the Halloween rush? everybody I think want to travel to the south on the last minute na. Waiting in a long line is expected. Gone are the days when you have to pay a fixer to reserve a seat, nor mag ilog sulod sa terminal like some life and death situation...

Take the case of Comelec, kung dili pa last day deadline, mao pay ipang rehistro sa uban. ang resulta, kagubot pas lukot. Same kind of complaints. Nothing new.

In fairness to Tomas, dili na man siguro momando pa sa mga polis kon unsay buhaton. Trabaho na na sa station commander diin na-belong ang CSBT. Anyway, kakita man ko naay mga polis gi-assign didto as criminal deterrent.

well, dili na lage unta angay sulti-an pa unsay buhaton, but we all know naman that sometimes they are also dependent on what the mayor requests. as a City Mayor, he has all the power to request and see to it for police assistance at the terminal, well, outside the terminal that is. I even think it is also one of the tasks of our beloved Konsehal Jack Jakosalem as Transportation head of the city u know.

And I don't see why the police being assigned there only as a criminal deterrent. They are also mandated for crowd control that is the more important issue u know...

so there u go...away sa politika di gyud maayo especially kung maamong na ang katawhan...
