It's been a while since my last FOFAL post but here's another interesting fact about one of the oddest
local goby species called the "Crazy Fish"

I have first seen this fish in an online petstore based in the U.S. and I got curious to see the review
of those who are keeping it. Turns out that the people who are selling it are importing it straight from
the Philippines and other Asian countries. This fish is called Crazy mainly because it sometimes swims
upside down when feeding and when dwelling on the water surface. The fish belongs to the Eleotridae
    family or the Sleeper gobies.

The ACE trekkers, myself included, has encountered and collected specimens of this species in the river
mouth of "Bagatayam". Those who kept them were amazed with the fish' unique behavior and charateristics.

This fish is a testament to the Philippines rich biodiversity that is continously destroyed. Hopefully,
ACE can come up with a plan to lend a hand in the preservation of our local species.

    NOTE:
This fish and other related species are considered brackish inhabitants but are flexible in terms of the water
salinity. Some keepers have had no problems with keeping them in pure fresh water but if you want the fish
to show its true colors, then you can add a little salt to the water.

    Unknown.

    bai dingo, naa ko suggestion.
since daghan na kaayo ka na -post na info and some if not all of them are buried na under tons of posts here..why not we create a separate thread to be managed by ace gihapon na ang naka-post puro rajud gen.info about sa aquatic flora and fauna..?den ang replies should be related to the topic rajud?
actually, nasaag ko ani na thread kay tungod man sa mga informative posts ninyo pero lisod naman i-dig kay daghan naman kaayo posts so why not separate nalang the flora and fauna info pero under ace gihapon? den kini diri na thread would now be for the ace as a group..like plans for trekking, aquatic shows, meetings..pero pwedi sad if magkinahanglan ka help, deretso lang ka post diria na thread..
    wat do u think guys?

    mao ni ako gihimo:
ACE: Aquatic Flora, Fauna and other General Information ->
    https://www.istorya.net/forums/pet-di...ml#post5819180

my apologies for using ACE in the thread title since i assume that it would be best if ace will manage the said thread. but if you don't like it, i'll just request the mods to close the thread..
