correct me if i'm wrong. L.O.C. means Left of center...

they play melodic hardcore... they've been around for like 11 years. one of the legends of the cebu punk/HC underground...

it's so nice that some of u guys still remember bands like Shrapnel, L.O.C., Warning, etc... these bands don't always get the recognition in the community that they deserve (although i don't think they crave it at all).. S.R.A. is practically the first underground community to really espouse the D.I.Y. (do-it-yourself) mentality..

At a time where other bands during that period (mid 90's) were concentrating on making singles, SRA was already releasing albums.. The first ever underground releases, from shrapnel, LOC, and the first ever SRA compilation (all released circa 1995-1996), have proven that the Cebu Punk Community was a united scene and was bent on being independent and proud of it..

The SRA Flag has been flying proudly for 11yrs now...

No other underground community has stood that long and that successful without profit... The punk community has always been proud that it was non profit and never ever increased ticket prices... No Major Sponsor has ever laid it's evil hands on ANY S.R.A Event in it's entire 11yrs... That says a lot...

anyways, i was part of the group from the very beginning, however, i always considered myself an outsider looking in.. This makes me very comfortable lauding the group..

This is my two cents worth but it's a long time coming... I just needed to say my piece coz most kids nowadays have never been really keen on being informed of cebuano musical history..

i'm a proud member and supporter of S.R.A. since i first saw an S.R.A. gig way back 97-98.

people might say bad things about punk rockers here in cebu but alot of them dint know that while the cebu indie music scene was in it's death bed during the late 90's. S.R.A. which consisted of a bunch of punk rockers and musicians was there to keep the independent music fire burning.
