Killing the Buddha on the road means destroying the hope that anything outside of ourselves can be our master! No one is any "bigger" than anyone else. There are no "mothers" and "fathers" for grown-ups, only "sisters" and "brothers!"

Oh, so have you seen the kingdom of heaven? Are you sure you will meet Budhha on the road? There is no one to kill. I can see with my third eye that you have no job. I understand that having no job is painful. And I think you need a man.

The kingdom of heaven cannot be seen...it can only be felt as the Little Prince said "It is only through the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."

Thatts right the Buddha on the road doesn't exist. It is there within you waiting for you to be recognized.

I have a job my friend. I am a full time faculty at USC teaching Psychology majors and minor subjects!

I don't need any man to be happy. I can CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY no matter what!

we don't need a guru to be enligthen. The guru is only there to point the way for us. but the mercy of the gurus are important. They take our karmas and their instructions can if followed properly help us dispel our ignorance or illusions.

That's right malic and even Jiddu Krishnamurti who was once a Theosophist, transcended Theosophy and became his own guru and teacher.

^i agree. if we are one, wouldn't you say that a guru/master/guide is a part of ourselves? then in effect a guru teaching the student is a guru reminding himself/herself and a student reminding himself/herself.

    You hit the nail.

The observer is also the observed. WE ARE ONE!

^but the illusion of the separation is strong, no? even those who are in the path of oneness (ehem...not to fan the flame) quarrel amongst themselves

Of course because of this DUALITY (good and bad, black and white, etc.) and Buddha cultivated the middle way in order to transcend this illusion of separateness.

Through Silence and Meditation as Jesus The Christ said, "Seek Ye First the kingdom of GOD and all these things shall be added unto you."
There is no other way but within as Jesus The CHRIST said, " I AM IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE."
The kingdom of heaven cannot be seen...it can only be felt as the Little Prince said "It is only through the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
I see. So you have felt the kingdom of heaven.... And it is within. But where exactly is it? And how does the kingdom of God feels like?

It seems you have read a lot of books. And have your life revolved around it. How about your own experience? If everyone would just have to read and depend on books, and realize the truth by himself, then our world shouldn't be the way it is now given the many people or groups of people reading, digesting, and even discussing knowledge they get from books then after which feeling as if they have already understood what they read..

And haven't you read that even Jesus Christ has a guru, without whom he wouldn't have attained illumination?

I have a job my friend. I am a full time faculty at USC teaching Psychology majors and minor subjects!
So you are a teacher. And you imply with your words that we don't need a guru.. or a teacher in simpler words. Ergo, you must have realized by now, that your students don't need you.... especially a teacher who thinks the world doesn't need one... How ironic...

Take it easy my friend. I am a psychologist as well and I suggest you take less dosages of books, and begin to introspect. Then you might see clearly how close you are to having delusions of grandeur...

I am a teacher by profession and when you say teaching the TRUTH, I cannot teach that to someone else. I can teach you how to ride a bike but it is you who will experience the ride of your life. YOU may read all the manuals and all the books but that is not yet THE TRUTH.

My reading and studying does not mean I have arrived at THE TRUTH for TRUTH IS EVOLVING LIKE THE UNIVERSE. yet, this is my duty as an eternal student of the universe. Yes, I don't need any teacher ultimately speaking because my teacher is MY EXPERIENCE AND THIS EXPERIENCE IS ROOTED IN LIVING ONE'S LIFE TO THE FULLEST!

The Kingdom of GOD is within you which means only you can fathom your essence and not me.

Well, if you are a psychologist, you are not very effective because you have already passed judgment to your brother and friend and Jesus said...do not judge lest you will be judged.

We all have teachers...yes even Jesus had teachers and his parents were his first teachers but when he became matured, did he still need his parents and those teachers?

Are you saying that you really know the real me? let us meet and I will invite you to have a coffee with me my friend!

    What about that? NAMASTE!
