Wait, you voted Leica, so that means you already have one right? And you are using it as your main camera? Because the poll isn't about what you want to have if given a chance. It's about what you currently have and use as main camera. Because if you don't have one as your main camera, then I have to reset Leica back to zero.

... coming from Canon film SLR. Canon dropped old friends to gain new ones when it failed to bridge FD lens in Digital SLR. Nikon's old film lenses are still usable in Nikon DSLR. To compliment a loyal friend, say to him or her, "You're a true Nikon.".

FD lens are proprietary (non-AF) Canon lens for Canon film SLRs e.g. Canon AE-1, AV-1, A-1, F1New, etc. It's cheaper though than L lenses. I bought my A-1 and F1New bodies along with a slew of Canon zoom and prime lenses in the early 80's. It's now gathering dust in my cabinet. Nikon's Nikkor lenses from this era are still usable with today's Nikon DSLRs.

I waited for awhile before I switched to Nikon and kept on using film. However, I bought a Canon G9 in the interim. Secretly, I envied my Nikon buddies who are still using their old Nikkor lenses in their DSLRs. I switched when the D90 came out last year and I have several Nikon dx afs vr g d lenses now and longing to get a high end Nikon DX format (D300s, perhaps, without my wife noticing it.).
