Whatever Sam Benitez and her mother decide, that's their perogative na whether they want a fight against the Mayor.

Last I heard on this story is ang mom mu move naman sad daw ug apil sa U.S. kuyog ni Sam... so I guess theyd rather live in peace elsewhere then get dragged into this circus we call Politics here. Its just disconcerting nga sila ang aggrieved party, yet sila na ang mu hawa...


On justice being served or not...

Ive said it from the start... nothing will come out of this...
In this country, the people in power make the rules.

Our justice system is just for show... a puppet show to be exact....with the strings being pulled by people in power.

Basta, people here got Sam's side of the story.... the Osmenas couldve clarified this story up but their silence and inability to present their side of the story (and lame excuse of camera being stolen) leaves a lot of room for doubt. They have been given a fair chance to air their side but have not done so.
In typical strongman fashion, they instead dare the other side to file charges knowing that if the case goes to the courts, it will be to their advantage as they know no one will dare go up against the mayor.

The only justice that can be served here is in the court of public opinion.

That's why I said that the damage has been done. People have their opinions and It looks bad for Miguel and its an embarrassment to his dad.

When little boy Miguel finally grows up and Mayor Tom is long gone, this incident will always stick with him if he doesn't deal with it personally.
A simple apology would have made this whole thing disappear but we all know apology is not in the Osmena vocabulary...

Agree kaayo ko ani but I think Tomas is not dignifying the issue by being silent and for the issue to supposedly just die down because both parties know that it won't prosper in court. On the other hand if the Benitizes did not or will not shut up by talking to the media without a case, then they will can be held for libel.

There was no pulling of strings here on the side of Tomas, intimidation maybe. Mao man gyud na ang character ni Tomas.
