which digicam is better?....sony or canon

Set aside other brands, between sony and canon, canon cameras have the upper hand in image quality. They produce lesser chromatic abberation and almost no image fringings. Although problem is, they also have lesser color saturation compared to Sony ones. Sony produces high-contrast images and with more visible noise. Noise can be a nuisance if viewed on your cpu monitor at 100% zoom, however it won't be a bother when it comes to prints, esp. on the most common sizes for albums like 6R, 5R, and 3R.

canon is better.
In our office, daghan dire naay digicam...lain lain lang ang brand(Sony, canon, kodak, olympus, pentax, casio). Kung naa company outing hapit tanan gadala ug digicamera...inig view sa pics dire sa ofc, LCD or CRT monitors, mo lutaw gyud ang CANON oi.
It could be the setting of the cameras, pero kami tanan deri dili man mga pro when it comes to taking pictures.
Basta makita gyud nga mas klaro, vivid, sharp..etc ang kuha sa canon.

Gawas pa, murag nindot ang service sa canon.
Akong A300 naguba, 3years na to nako. Gi-ilisan man ug lain nga model, A410 na karon akong digicam. Gi-ilisan at no cost, FREE, sa ako. o di ba :mrgreen:

Mga bro, ok pod kaayo ug service center ang SONY diha sa Jones Avenue.

Here's my firend's experience.

His Sony dSLR kay naay guba sa sensor, everytime he takes a picture pink ang color tapos naay mga lines, aside from the fact nga blurry sad ang pics. He had it repaired at Sony Service Center in Jones Avenue.

After 3-4 days, voila! naayo na.. tapos wala pa jud bayad, as in LIBRE.. Ang ako frend kay naglibog because the camera was bought in Japan and was just passed down to him from his dad. He didn't even showed any Warranty card or receipt, or what... Maybe naa pa jud siguro tu warranty tapos gi tan-aw lang nila ang serial number and date of manufacture....

Now his dSLR takes great shots, wala overexposure or what. Nice kaayo..

i have sony h1 and it takes excellent pictures even without flash, and nice pud kaayo ang flash kay very powerful. I took pictures about 35 ft. away and the result is very good as if your taking the pic near to you.
Ang sony h1 and canon s2is are very close in competition based from many forums in the net it was found out that sony H1 takes great pictures than canon s2is thats why i choose sony h1 and i am very satisfied with the performance of H1.

well i have no idea about color saturation, etc about cameras but our cameras has always been sony even with the video cameras.. and right now im using the sony cybershot M1..it's really great! especially the hybrid thingy! hehe the N1 is really cool!! i really want that cam!!!

canon is nice too.. my cousin is a fan of the canon ixux series and i especially liked the ixus 750 :mrgreen:
