if you read this literally, then it will mean what you mean.. but if we maintain the same interpretation as the first post, then I don't see it contradicting..

context suggest that it's literal. Unless TS has a non-literal interpretation of the disciples "looking into the sky" and Jesus did not literally ascend to heaven I may agree that it is not contradicting.. Until then I will hold that the literal interpretation is the correct interepretation.

we do not know why or how John wrote these texts, and where he got them too..
all we know is that John wrote that text at a certain period after Christ.. as to where he has gone to, or what he has done with his life, we have no record of that at all.

Analogy:
Jesus talked about John and named him John the Beloved.
John talked about Jesus about his ministry.

CLEARLY STATED. You have the accused and you have the witness. To have a case you need to have at least one, proving it must have both. Whats the problem again? NO WITNESS NO ACCUSED? so why are we talking about this case? when in the first place there is NO CASE?
