both sun-tzu and machiavelli recognized the need for the necessary evil..

sun-tzu even preached about the need for the sacrificial pawn.. the doomed spy

    sun-tzu encouraged deception..

sun-tzu encouraged to use any means to win the war at minimal cost

machiavelli encourage us to be amoral in order to rise above the masses...

machiavelli was an enlightened man.. he saw beyond the simplistic good and evil..

the weak and the vanquieshed call this greed and wickedness, the loser cries foul play and cheating
.. but to the victor, this is the height of strategic wisdom...

this is like saying i'm about to kill that sucker and nobody can stop me because GOD will forgive me anyway. it's like doing what you feel is right eventhough you know it's wrong---because you know you have GOD to back it up. pathetic.

karma lang kung dili nimu tiwason imu gihimo.. when doing something bad.. make sure dili mkabalos imo kalaban.. and make sure na future reprecussions will not occur..

(mao bitaw God commanded King Saul to kill all his enemies para dili mobalos.. then tanawa si king saul after his compassion.. that was karma)

i think you misinterpret sun-tzu in that respect.. sun-tzu, when he sacrifices a spy does not call out "Forgive me lord for what i will be doing.." he very well knows the consequences of his actions and knows that in the future he will have lost an advantage to save his war. to lose a battle but not the war... and it is because of a mistake he made earlier that he needs to sacrifice something now.. which is going back to the karma thing..

karma is not about tiwason nimo or dili imong gihimo..

when you do something bad, it will come back to you.. u cannot get away from doing something bad.. karma will find a way to balance it in ways you cannot imagine at the moment. when u bury the truth, do u think it will stay buried that way? u think u have vanquished your enemy? you will soon learn that you have become your enemy when u vanquish him..

there's no such thing as good and evil, that i agree.. it is relative.. but the cause and effect is there for a reason.. for balance.. you can never make sure he cannot return the favor.. he may not be able to return it himself, but sooner or later, the favor will be returned unto you by some other person.

those who live by the sword shall die by the sword..

ahmm.. theres always the "ubusan ng lahi" option hehehe.. but im not the genocidal freak unless i really really need to, i dont go for unnecessary actions... always save resources for battles that are yet to come

although murphy's law applies, "anything that has possibity of happening, will happen", i dont consider it karma.. better play it safe by taking out other's capability first to inflict evil on me..when people throw you stones, shoot them.. dont give them the chance of acquiring guns..

its far better to die fighting that to rot in a deathbed..

So every soldier that prayed "Dead Man's Prayer" before a battle or prayed before he took vengeance on an evil, showed that he is unintelligent? That inaction is intelligence?

That is a statement of a fool who have never been at the edge of his own oblivion, or facing his own own possible self sacrifice. That he has to contemplate what he might be forced to do in battle, and the realization that his death may come before he can have time to pray after the battle. Cowards can never understand a dead man's prayer, because he will always leave that sacrifice to others who are more man than him. Their is no atheist in fox-holes. Any boy who was man enough to become a soldier can understand, but cowards have no concept of such things, for you would have to have been man enough to have been a soldier first. Some time little punk boys need to keep their ignorance and bias bigotries to themselves.

Why is it that it is the same few sad members that have to make such negative and pathetic comments on every topic pertaining to religion. Being a Atheist does not make you cool, rather it make you at biggest of fools, damn you are a pathetic bunch of cowards. You hate God, we get it, but do not act as if you deserves any respect for you defiant blasphemes.

Atheist should not discuss topics of religion and faith, because you have none, and have no true understanding on the subjects. All you posses is just blind hatred derived from an empty existence, which you must direct at those that posses what eludes you. A christian will never listen to your ignorance, because we have found faith, and we know we do not want to be you. A man who does not walk with God is a waist of good air.

that piece of prayer seems to warrant religious people to do evil things.. it made me remember a quote

"With or without religion, good people can behave well and bad people can do evil; but for good people to do evil — that takes religion" Steven Weinberg

religion is a tool that people use to give reason to the evil deeds that they are going to do.. it somehow clears their consience from responsibility.. which is really wrong.. just plain wrong
