Good point and example on the PROHIBITION .
" A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. " - 2nd Amendment , Bill of Rights of the United States of America

Exactly Vip! Al Capone was estimated to be making over fifty million dollars per year (tax free) during prohibition. Can you imagine what that would be in today's terms? All prohibition did was turn crooks into tycoons! People didn't stop drinking, but the government had to do a U-Turn.

There is quite a bigf difference between prohibiting prostitution and prohibiting alcohol.

Alcohol consumption is NOT evil by itself. It is only wrong when done to excess or when it affects safety (think drunk driving).

Prostitution, on the other hand, is wrong by itself. It is essentially dehumanizing and victimizes the prostitute and the families of the "customer". As a form of human trafficking it is destructive of persons, families and order.

Comparing the two is logically inutile.
