NA igo nako ana sauna.... ang ako gi suspect nga nag bring ana nga virus sa ako PC is ang pccillin nga anti virus. What I have done to disable it is to run msconfig then sa start-up tab then uncheck the unknown programs there or better yet uncheck all list on the start-up tab....

used intrusion detection like, NIS or kaspersky firewall protection before you connected to internet after reformat.

you need a microsoft patch first....

Reformatting your PC is not a solution.


1.) Get XP Service Pack 2.
2.) Update your antivirus and firewall programs.
3.) Problem solved.

for sure na ok imong system, reformat na lang gyud. kung remove nimo ang sasser, naa pay nahabilin nga signature. code aFde16489

Solve mine by:

Upgrading to Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
Upgrading to Windows Service Pack 1 or 2

The removal tool is included in the Service Packs, so there's nothing to worry about...

Its an exploit to windows LSSAS vulnerability. Microsoft had already released a patch for this.

Update your system security. Quarantine your PC (disconnect from the network). Run a complete and thorough ssystem scan/clean.

If you are running a firewall, do block any unnecessary inbound traffic. Better still if your firewall is capable of application control. This will block any unknown or unecessary application from accessing the network

lsass.exe is a system service, sasser is the virus that rapes it. I think SP2 fixes this.
