Should there be a Constitutional Convention right after the 2010 election, I'd like to support it. After all, there is really a necessity for charter change. We have always been forewarned that charter change will bring about some changes only for the benefit of those who are in power. We have forgotten that it could also protect the interest of the public should it be put to use correctly.

Somehow, we have always been afraid of the ghost of the Marcos era. All wanted to move forward yet they cannot forget the past. If we want to change the government, maybe we should all be responsible so that all those who deal with the government will also have positive change.

throw away the nationalistic mentality, it is not necessary. if you think love for our country is what's needed, then i disagree. Concern for fellow human beings is enough to make a significant change. Stop making this thread look like it's tagalogs vs. the rest of the philippines. These are outdated traditional notions that have no place in an emerging society. We are all in the same boat, whether we like it or not.

I support charter change because I see the current charter as unfit and unstable. Especially the current constitution which is suppose to be the root of all laws. It has no meaning for the lawmakers and the laws nowadays support only those who have powers. Instead of being equally distributed to all Filipinos regardless of social status. Rich become richer while the poor become poorer.

The current constitution is not being followed and Its now just a draft memorized by students to get recitation points.

I don't see why being Nationalistic would hurt my fellow men. If you cannot accept where you came from (your ideology and social movement) then you are not fit to called human. People that doesn't have ideas have nothing at all.

Flaws are inevitable in constitutions but a jam-packed change is a critical thing to do especially with the political maturity of the people. We do not wish to be experimented. The problem with the laws that we have right now is not basically the content. I believe that while making the laws, those with the legislative power have made thorough analysis before approving of it. The profound problem we have is the implementation of the laws that have been made. It should be strictly implemented because it would defeat the purpose of making laws if and when we won't firmly execute them.

I believe that Filipinos should think closely if a change in our constitution should be made..revisions maybe acceptable but a change of the whole system is something to really think about, especially that we are surrounded by Politically immature individuals...a single proof is the basis on how they choose their government officials...^_^

I strongly disagree on this charter change...TO be fair to our other candidate/s and who are hopeful, and we dont know if they will serve well, well BEFORE WE DECIDE TO HAVE A CHARTER CHANGE, We must put our country UNDER A PERIOD OF 2-3YEARS to be TOTALLY EMPTY OR UNSEAT EVERYONE FIRST and let UN reps to LEAD THIS COUNTRY FIRST. THEREAFTER, we can proceed after 2-3years period of time.

WE MUST MAKE SURE, all parties, influential people, powerful people, corrupt people whill have that period of time to reflect and relax with regards to grabbing of POWER IS CONCERN.

ANG PINAKA-MASAKIT DUN, if the people will come to realize that UN REPS. OR WHOSEVER COUNTRY will temporarily govern our country, WILL DO BETTER...CORRUPT PEOPLE will be nailed forever. Wala ng chance to run. why? THE PEOPLE WILL SPEAK UNANIMOUSLY
