    motherboard product doesn't do anything in video editing. mas mo prefer ko sa processor model og video card model... as long as naka openGL og direct3D.. pero sa motherboard I dont thinks so.. sa name palang nga ASUS pang gaming na. basin maggaming sila while working. mao na mo prefer sila sa ASUS

    imu nang decision...

    ask cointus... he is a fellow istoryan who does CG jobs.

    in my experience. naka try na ko set up ug pa quote ug mga suitable workstations for CG and CAD design.

    from OEM branded workstions (DELL, IBM, HP,) to the the most generic set ups.

    ako na notice nga mas nindot gamitun ang mga OEM/branded workstations maybe because they were designed for stressful part... like rendering, animating atthe same time running raw unrendered animations

    its because they use high performance memory, processors, graphics cards

    si personalmgt... a fellow istoryan.. who is also a animator... ki pa kiita ko niya ug screenshot nga iyang animation software na kuwangan ug memory ..... :P

    so ako gyud ma suggest sa imu.... is get a good P35/P45 mobo with ALL SOLID capacitors .. high performance rams nga bagsik kaayu ug timings... a Quad Core/Dual COre cproc with a big buss speed

    like kani

    Q8400 quad core
    EP45-UD3R mobo/ P5Q asus mobo... { just plain "ASUS P5Q"}

    4GB/8GB Rams clock at 800mhz with 4 4 4 12 timings
    GTS250 1GB graphics card

    320GB HDD sata

    a dvd writer

    & the most important.... Power Supply Unit ... example a silverstone strider 500watts ST50F

    any rams will do... especially ang Kingston KVR ddr2-800mhz ram @6 6 6 18 standard timings.

    the lesser the timings means responsive kaayu imung application ki gamit.... pwede maka alt-tab without lag from one program to another.

    but since you will be using a fast processor.... high performance DDR2 rams ang nindot gamiton paa dili ma bottleneck ang processor. great for adobe visual editing, animations, media conversions and mild rendering of media data to final exe format.

    rendering stage... i suggest u do it in another separate computer a 64 bit server grade computer.. experience biya nko nga na render mi ug movie na abtan 6 hours... then namatay ang pc.. tungod sa stress.
    na sayang ang 6 hours

    again...

    get a quad core Q8200/Q8400
    P45 mobo {asus and anything}
    DDR2 800mhz @ 4 4 4 12 timings {ddr2-800 for sure compatibility, 4 gig is enough .. if you are doing animation go for 8 gig}

    silverstone PSU @500 watts st50f
    320GB HDD {320 lang kay barato}
    a dvd writer so you can burn data and media files. for back up pwede sad ka maka watch ug DVD movie

    a nividia/ati graphics card with 256-bit memory interface {daghan na barato ani}

    and any cheap MID ATX CASE para maka barato ka.

    if company mugasto.... way problema
