That's the reason different religions mushroomed. Some people create their own religion based on how they interpret the Bible. Some create religions for personal reasons. The king of england seceded from vatican and created his own religion. The king's reason was that the pope did not allow him to marry a divorcee.

the church failed to deliver us not (or not only) from evil
but they failed to deliver us from ourselves---from doing what not should be done and not doing what should be done.
just look at us now. we are a country of prayers yet look what we have become
we are a country of faith healers yet so many cant be healed.
if we have faith then why should we be redundant in our prayers?
if one word is enough for a wise man then how much it is to god?

then also, it's always easy to say that if the "believers" is well off then its the rewards from heaven
and when in suffering god is testing us. if its a non-believer who's blessed then it's worldly riches and material things and when they are suffering then it's the wrath of god.

The Bible is made by man. While faith is a relationship between man and God. Before the Bible came into existence, there was already God who made all things possible. Im not saying that we should not read the Bible. What Im saying is that we should not make the Bible as our sole path to salvation. The Bible exists only to give us proper guidance of our faith. And add to that we need church authorities to help in guiding us in the interpretation the Holy Scriptures. Remember even satan interprets the Bible.
