palihug tan-awa nalang ni nga article:

Transforming Your Engine for the Fuel of the Future - BiofuelsHub.com

By the way, be aware that not everything that website is telling you is true and for your own good, I believed their interest is more on doing business, telling you to use ethanol and not more on concerns for a better environment. What I noticed is that they don't do actual testing on their claims and tell you the results.

Tinuod na madaot ang carburetor parts considering ang parts nimo sa carburetors like mga jets niya are made of brass. Ethanol will eat soft metals like copper, aluminum, zinc and including alloys of these soft metals. Nakita na namo na first hand when I tested my carburetor, karon naa gihapon nagkabilin nga problema tungod aning ethanol nga fuel.
Better not use fuel with ethanol, it is not good for our engines in general.

when time comes our carburetors no longer work, mag vaporize na 'ta ug fuel without using the carburetor.

I'm not sure if this topic has already been posted before.. but i think i have to post this one because i find it very urgent/necessary to all of us motorist right now..

just recently, i've seen news from the television talking about this 10% bioethanol added to our unleaded gasoline. It says that it is not good for carborator type of engine. and those who are still using carborator engines are recommended to shift special gasoline like (XCS, Gold, or premium).. but the problem is, by the year 2011, all type of gasoline in the market will already have bioethanol content.

because of this, just want to know from our experts here the cost, place (shop), and a good mechanic that can help us convert our carborator type of engine to EFI. and probably, the pros and cons of converting carborator engine to EFI.. I have a suzuki van, 12 valve engine.

hope you could share us your thoughts.

    thanks..
i don't think, it is possible to convert that engine of yours from carburator to EFI. theirs a lot of modification to be done; First, their is no provision where the fuel injectors has to be installed including the IACV and other sensors needed, you have to buy an ECU and rewire the whole system. and i don't think those parts mention above would match with your engine requirements?
para nako, it should be better that you have to convert and used an LPG as your alternative fuel, rather than coverting it into an EFI. just my two cents...

nice suggestion bert... yes converting to LPG is much cheaper than converting to EFI.... LPG is the best option for carburator type of engines...
