Upscaling looks so far nice when you use original DVD's, or original DVD's converted to divx. But the lousy local pirated crap does look ugly when upscaled.
I just don't get it why you buy an expensive PS3, just to watch crappy DVD copies... an upscaling DVD player, like the Pioneer DV-400, will do it for that, 1080p via hdmi.

Exactly. You buy an expensive PS3 just to play crappy pirated movies on it? What the hell!? It's like buying a Porsche, only to pick up ugly chicks.

Did you guys watched the pirated movie using an HDTV or a regular TV? coz for sure it would look crap when using a regular TV. And diba there is already a better pirated DVD called "Blu Ray" (which is actually a dual layer DVD lang) pero the vendors label them as "Blu Ray". The upscaling DVD player is just a DVD player alone.. The PS3 is a Blu Ray player with DVD upscaling AND LAN and wifi and has a hard drive and can play AVI, DivX, WMV files as well... nuff said... a Blu ray player costs 35k++. a DVD home theater costs the same. So sa ako lang mas completo ang PS3.

And for sure the Upscaling DVD player would still make pirated movies look crap kay naa man sa pirated DVD and problema right.

p.s: Did I mention that you can play games with PS3 as well?

Im currently using one on my HDTV and they look like crap gyud. to think FullHD ako TV pero panget gyud ang itsura sa salida hehe. pixelated kaayu. sa ako lang is ang ka nindut man gud sa PS3 is the complete package: DVD upscaling, Blu Ray player, gaming machine, can store movies and can play any type as well. Grabe ka bang-for-the-buck

pag media sharing nalang oi., e share ang mga files sa imong pc... maka read na then play sa ps3
